Financial Controller Up to 50k Full-time Edinburgh We are working with the UK's leading specialist financial services Content Marketing agency. The agency has experienced a sustained period of growth and is now looking to recruit a new role to oversee all matters relating to the financial management of the agency. You'll be working onsite in Edinburgh in a dynamic agency environment whilst working closely with the divisional finance team based around the UK JOB PURPOSE: To manage the flow of revenue through the agency from initial client contact, through forecasting and invoicing to collection of receivables. To prepare monthly management accounts, actuals and forecast, in conjunction with the Managing Director and the offsite team in Newcastle. To be responsible for the control environment, ensuring all financial processes are robust and all financial reporting to group is accurate and compliant with all relevant accounting standards. KEY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue management Weekly forecasting of job by job revenue, liaising with account teams to provide the most up to date view with explanations for variances / movements Processing of invoices raised by account teams, matching to POs, and uploading to client portals where applicable Monthly management accounts Preparation of the month end management accounts working with the Newcastle offsite team. Journals are posted to the GL in Newcastle, but the core information is provided by this role onsite and reconciliations and analysis of queries is a joint effort Ensuring all revenue is booked in line with the company revenue recognition policy Assisting the Newcastle team with the preparation of all month end balance sheet files for review by the group finance team in Leeds Cost management and purchases Approval and coding of cost invoices and matching to POs in accordance with the agency approvals matrix (and maintenance of same) Managing urgent supplier payments where required eg. Project filming costs Management information Utilising timesheet information to prepare job profitability reports for review by the MD and account teams Where applicable, preparation of client retainer reports and other client MI reporting as required SKILLS & EXPERIENCE You should ideally have experience in a creative agency environment and be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3-5 years' experience.
