I have a client who we have worked with for many years who is looking for a management accountant to help and drive the business forward. Think of this role as less desk based and more business partnering and helping to drive efficiencies of the site. Yes, you will get involved in weekly and month management accounts and KPI reporting under strict deadlines, but you will work with other areas of the business to evaluate profit improvements and capex expenditure. You will regularly spend time on the shop floor, liaising with non finance departments to understand costs and prepare overhead reports. If you are someone analytical and can spot trends or areas that allow growth and some that are risk based, this would be an ideal role for you. You will look at the P&L's of the business, understanding key processes and areas which can be streamlined and made quicker and more efficient. The role will have you involved in budget preparations and forecasting updates also. My client is looking for someone who is either qualified or part qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) but also very happy to have those candidates that are qualified by experience but must hold experience within a manufacturing environment. They are offering a salary of £40-45k for this role dependent on qualifications and experience with some great benefits and holiday allowances.
