Acorn Finance is currently looking for a Finance Officer to join an established, not for profit organisation in Cardiff on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play an important role within the organisation to ensure that all expenditure and income accounts are produced for all stakeholders. Located in Cardiff it's in a very accessible area both to public and private transportation. The salary is £20,000 - £25,000 pro rata. 25 hours p/w. What the role will involve: - Working with budget holders and department heads to ensure the finances of the organisation meet their needs. - Preparing management accounts and variance reports for various managers around the organisation for more efficient decision making. - Continually improve all of the procedures and processes within the organisation. - Reconciliation of bank records, payroll accounts and others. - Preparation of management accounts. - Reviewing expenditure against budgets and investigating variances. What we're looking for: - Established experience preparing management accounts. - Previous experience of variance analysis and financial performance reviews. - Confident with various IT platforms including the adaptability to pick up new systems. - Relevant accounting qualification or significant experience. - Ideally holds experience within a charitable organisation. - Ideally a Welsh speaker but not essential.
