Pricing Analyst (Finance)

Hays Senior Finance are proud to be working on behalf of this Corporate, well know business, to recruit a Pricing Analyst, at their head office in Coventry. You will be required to support the pricing strategy and implementation of the strategy within the business. This will include ensuring that fully informed decisions are made for price setting within all of the channels that the business trades in as well as helping to define the pricing policies and guidelines for the ongoing management and governance.

The role holder will need to work collaboratively with other departments to optimise customer profitability through competitive generics pricing and support the development of pricing action plans. The person will need to be driving and influencing change and pricing developments as necessary and be responsible for creating and distributing data request templates as well as compiling the monthly pricing scorecard.

Your new role
As a Pricing Analyst responsibilities and accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

• Provide support to define pricing strategies.
• Communicate the developing competitor pricing landscape and formulate and implement strategies to address potential opportunities and risks.
• Develop the approach to customer pricing and promotions strategy at all times securing the full margin potential.
• Convert analysis into presentation materials and in some cases, lead the presentation of findings
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide explanations or follow-up questions related to the data analysis
• Take ownership of customer pricing queries and ensure that they are led to a satisfactory conclusion

What you'll need to succeed

• Good knowledge of excel and data analysis
• Have strong internal networks and the ability to build networks quickly
• Strong communication skills, both orally and through presentation materials
• Strong project management skills and clear, creative and proactive thinking skills
• Ability to be flexible in approach and able to work under pressure
• At least 2 years working in a Commercial/ Pricing environment is desirable but not essential
• Experience of using large volumes of data
• Excellent communication skills
• Can demonstrate an analytical approach to all given tasks
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Track record of delivering against tight deadlines
• Track record of building relationships across the business
• Track record of converting data analysis into presentation materials
• Ability to lead data analysis discussions at a senior level
• Confidence and tenacity to deal with challenges to the data and analysis
