Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the team, which undertakes two key functions within the business on behalf of its clients:
- Banking, cashiering, cash management and bookkeeping
- Preparation of each pension Scheme Annual Report and Accounts, and arranging the audit thereof
Key roles and responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include:
- Ensuring work is completed in a timely manner and in line with service and statutory standards
- Delegating responsibilities to team members as appropriate
- Motivating team members, and appraising performance of the Accounts team
- Identifying training needs such that team members can undertake their work
- Working closely with other team leaders to ensure all teams work to the benefit of the business and its clients
- Assisting in the development of the Accounts team services
Profile
The ideal candidate would have previous management experience in an accounting/accountancy environment. A background in pensions would be an advantage, particularly if this experience includes accounts drafting. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and good attention to detail.

A salary of £38,000 - £45,000 + benefits is on offer
