GiBe Finance are working with a global manufacturing business in Worthing to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant into a well-performing team. This is a technical role which will suit a qualified candidate who enjoys a detailed reporting and tax focussed position. The company offers parking on-site as well as a bonus scheme and obvious career progression, if desired. The Role: Manage the periodic process delivering a timely and high quality product. Manage outsourced service providers, ensure the delivery is timely, to a high standard and within budget. Manage the outputs of internal support functions ensuring a timely and high quality delivery. Ensure the financial statements and analysis are accurate and completed in-line with Corporate's timetable / guidelines (local GAAP). Complete quality, accurate and detailed balance sheet bridge reconciliations from US to local GAAP for director review / approval at least quarterly. Primary interface for external audits, ensuring compliance with the business' global standards and policies. Manage the timely and efficient resolution of queries. Ensuring all statutory filings are accurate and timely. Review the filings prior to director approval to ensure they are of a standard ready for filing. Ensure all statutory entries are posted in the GL timely. Support the External Reporting & Tax Manager / Finance Manager / Finance Director: (1) Effective management of the audit to ensure the impact on others is minimised (2) Proactive management of any change impacting the accounting group (3) Education of the current accounting rules and upcoming changes regularly. Ensuring all tax (e.g. VAT, Corporation tax etc.) filings are accurate and timely. Review the filings prior to director approval to ensure they are of a standard ready for filing / submission. Ensure all import / export, EC Sales and Intrastat reporting is kept current. Ensure the transfer pricing agreements are complete and reflected in the accounting. Monitor the tax position on vendor / customer invoices to ensure they are accurate. Manage tax prepayments / payments Education of the current tax rules and upcoming changes regularly Support the Director of Tax: (1) On global projects / initiatives. (2) With the completion of the US / parent company tax return and associated activities. (3) Prepare reconciliations from US GAAP to local GAAP for the year end provision as well the record in the system. Enforce Corporate and local policies, procedures and controls (inc. full DoA compliance). Review / enhance systems as required to deliver quality and timely actual results. Lead the co-ordination of process alignment across Europe / the globe. Lead the continued development of a more efficient, effective, consistent and controlled European finance function. Support the Finance Director (Europe) and Corporate Finance team with initiatives as required.
