Purpose of Role To provide a dependable and professional fund accounting service, and to support the existing team with an increasing number of complex funds. Primary Duties
• Production of the daily P&L process, reconciling administrator P&L to internal estimates, including attribution of P&L by driver;
• Production of weekly fund return estimates and attribution;
• Full daily and month-end NAV process, including: - Adherence to valuation source hierarchy and overall valuation policy; - Assisting administrator in receiving independent confirmation of external valuations; and - Reconciliation of estimated NAV / P&L to final NAV / P&L.
• Monitoring of daily valuation changes to ensure movements are in line with market drivers;
• Internal reporting, including: - Daily reporting of P&L by sector, region and currency; and - Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports for senior management summarising P&L attribution, fund performance, key drivers, changes and/or risks to business continuity.
• Improvements and automation of existing processes.
• Assist in the development of new business, fund start-ups, new products; and
• External reporting, including: -Assist in preparation of annual audited financial statements; and - Regulatory reporting - assist in the preparation and review. General
• Any other duties commensurate with the post holder's position and seniority; and
• All employees should understand that it is their personal responsibility to comply with all organisational, statutory and regulatory policies and procedures. Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• Ideally working in financial services with some knowledge in financial products;
• Strong communication skills;
• Particularly adept in Excel and other Microsoft programs; Educational & Professional Qualifications
• Educated to degree (or equivalent) level or higher, preferably from a leading university;
• Strong grades in numerical based subjects;
• Having started an accountancy qualification is preferred.
