This role is to join a rapidly expanding and highly successful FMCG business based in Wakefield. Working closely with senior factory management to provide accurate, timely and insightful information to facilitate good decision making. Provide support and challenge to help drive factory performance and profitability in line with the company strategy, whilst ensuring robust controls are in place. This role is initially on a 6 month contract basis but could lead onto longer term or even permanent employment. This is a really diverse and interesting role, Key responsibilities of which include: Providing robust financial planning, insightful reporting and providing a detailed understanding of business performance Performance, trend & variance analysis Development relationships across operational areas Product management and cost control Financial Control and Asset Management Budgeting, forecasting & Costing Wastage analysis & stock take reviews variance reporting, Ensure completion of month end to deadlines including insightful commentary on performance for variances and overheads for sites. Completion and ownership of accurate and controlled balance sheet reconciliations Any other finance related support / project work as required. The successful applicant will demonstrate the following: Experience working in a manufacturing/FMCG or similar environment Strong financial acumen and understanding of business changes on financial performance. Understanding of commercial changes on the operational side of a business Ability to influence and challenge at all levels Ability to work on own initiative Ability to work under pressure and with efficiency and speed whilst maintaining accuracy, working to a strict financial timetable.
