THE COMPANY: An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our busy Finance Team within the Willenhall area (Wolverhampton) for a SME business. We are the UK's leading supplier of keys, key blanks, key cutting equipment and locksmith tools.We offer a wide variety of products from licensed key blank ranges through to hardware. Benefits: - Negotiable salary, range depending on experience - Paid every 4 weeks (13 pay dates per year) - Workplace Pension Scheme - Free onsite parking - Leave early on Fridays (4:45pm finish) - 22 days annual leave all statutory bank holidays ABOUT YOU: Experience in Credit Control Team Player : background of working as part of a team Determined to achieve and succeed Has an understanding of Accountancy (desirable) Motivated to maintain and improve standards Adheres to internal workflows & quality control processes Polite, friendly & a good sense of humour THE ROLE: - Responsible for their own ledger of approximately 1,000 live accounts. - Using NAVISION database re: product information (training given) - Is sue copy invoices & POD's as requested - P rocess card payments via MOTO service - Apply payments to ledger - Cashier work & weekly banking deposit - Maintain accounts - monitor terms and limits. - Collection of overdue accounts via telephone & emails - Despatch monthly statements via post & emails - Chase to point of legal proceeding & liaise with solicitors Skills required - PC literate - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook - Microsoft Access (desirable, but not essential) - Excellent written & verbal communication skills - Good organisational skills - To support the other members of the Finance Team as and when required - Ability to drive & car owner For an informal chat call Debbie Homer on 01902 364 433.
