Our client is a leading international perfume company located in West London, (W10) who are looking for a Manufacturing Accountant/Cost Accountant to join their growing accountancy team.

Description

Located in West London, our client is looking for a Manufacturing Accountant/Cost Accountant with responsibility for:

Yearly duties & responsibilities:

Assist in preparation of statutory financial statements and Group reporting.
Draft notes to the financial statements regarding margins, with the support of Supervisor.
Draft management report regarding margins shared with Supervisor.
Reconciliation of sub-ledger with general ledger related to inventory.
Support to Supervisor with the preparation of budget & forecast data relative to the margin costs of company.
Co-ordinate full physical inventory counts.

Monthly duties & responsibilities:

Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and Group reporting.
Preparation of P&L to gross margin as basis for Supervisor to finalise Month End reporting to Group.
Preparation of excel schemes for adjustments of records.
Verification of stock accruals based on contracts, purchase offers and data of approved budget.
Verification of inventory valuation and validation of stock movements.
Monitoring & control of sub-ledgers for inventories.
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts during closing process.
Review of stock analysis and inventory adjustments.
Update standard costs relative to new purchase prices


Weekly duties & responsibilities:

Product costing & customer margin analysis.
Review of stock analysis and inventory adjustments.
Co-ordinate inventory cycle counts and report / action findings.
Manufacturing Cost analysis
Cash flow forecasting
Producing reports on budget variations
Production and control of budgets, forecasts and manufacturing plans
Supporting the preparation of management accounts
Cost of sales, stock & WIP Validation and making reporting improvements on these areas
Interrogation and review of MRP
Bill of materials validation
Development of financial plans
Ensure accuracy of costs in relation to gross margin
Production of monthly operational report pack
Monitor business KPI's and work closely with the management accounting department to identify month end adjustments
Implementation and Maintence of a costing system
Provide detailed analysis around manufacturing costs
Analysis of variance to standard product and manufacturing costs
Provide support to the business to help understand the cost initiatives
Display financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Responsibility for preparation of period management accounts.
* Processing prepayments and accruals.
* Administering fixed asset accounting.
* Conducting bank and nominal reconciliations.
* Analysing and reporting of period end cost centre reports.
* Liaising with key Senior Managers/contacts throughout the Group to agree cost allocations for each respective site.
* Deal with ad hoc queries from operational sites.
* Liaise with the auditors, bank and any other key Finance authorities as required and instructed by the Group Finance Director.
* Management of migration of existing accounting systems
* Assist with any other financial task as required
Preparation of a full monthly reporting pack for each business unit including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and all supporting commentary.
Preparation of cash flow and working capital reports
Quarterly re forecasting and budget preparation for review
Development of key financial reporting for operational management

Profile

The ideal candidate:

Relevant experience in the same industry (beauty, perfume, cosmetics) who have been involved in purchasing and manufacturing

  • . Experience with NAVISION / MICROSOFT DINAMICS would be highly advantageous.

  • Management of the budget and forecasting process

  • Monitor business KPI's and work closely with the management accounting department to identify month end adjustments

  • Implementation and Maintence of a costing system

  • To review product and customer profitability margins

  • Provide detailed analysis around manufacturing and warehouse costs

  • Analysis of variance to standard product and manufacturing costs

  • Provide support to the business to help understand the cost initiatives

  • Display financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Job Offer

Salary of £35,000-£45,000
