You will be working for a for successful company based in Stafford who are looking to add an experienced Purchase Ledger supervisor to the team. This business has seen an increase in their market share and are dedicated to providing the highest service possible to its customers.

Your new role
As a Purchase Ledger Supervisor, your main role will involve day to day management of the accounts payable and sales ledgers, monitoring of the purchase ordering system and the line management of two direct reports.

• To be responsible for the production of weekly payment runs Bacs, Cheques, Sundry payments .
• To be responsible for the posting of Sales Ledger to ensure transactions are posted within the current financial period.
• To be responsible for the month/ year end closure of the Purchase and Sales ledger ensuring that all transactions are processed at month / year end in line with the financial calendar.

What you'll need to succeed
Similar experience in a previous role will ultimately lead to your success. The right candidate for this role will have strong numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy together with an excellent working knowledge of excel and will be used to working in a deadline driven environment.

This role is initially planned as a temporary position but the client has stated their is a permanent opportunity on the horizon and the successful temporary candidate will be encouraged to apply for the permanent role. the permanent salary is £27,000 per annum, on site parking is available.
