Insurance Bookkeeper/Cashier- £35,000-£40,000- Fenchurch street

The successful job holder will be joining a small insurance broker who specialise in providing insurance and reinsurance services across the globe as well as marine, non marine and treaty broking services. This company are based in the heart of London City and has a real family feel atmosphere in the office.

Your new role
If you are successful in gaining this position you will be reporting into the Finance Director and sitting within a overall finance team of approximately 9.
This ole will be a combination of bookkeeping a small amount of IBA duties and may suit someone with experience in cashiering.
Spec:

• Monitoring and control of all bank balances including detailed cash reconciliation's
• NatWest Bankline system - reports and transfers
• Barclays systems for bank reports
• Investment of funds
• Investment sheets
• Liaison with banks on exchange rates and interest rates and service problems
• IBA cheque and telegraphic transfer payments, checking and inputting Inland payments
• Paying in Cheques
• Production of un-allocated cash receipts
• Bank reconciliations for all Accounts
• Foreign Currency Accounts
• Monitoring sterling and currency expense account ensuring it is adequately funded
• Transfer brokerage from client money to expense accounts
• EMIR Reconciliation
• Bank Administration

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a history of bookkeeping experience within an insurance business and have a solid understanding of the sector. You will have had experience dealing with multiple currencies and performing reconciliations of multiple entities and bank accounts
