Our client, a City Bank are searing for a Qulified Accountant with experience of IFRS 9 requirements. The role will include: Managing the team with responsibility for the IFRS 9 Expected Credit Losses within the UK finance department, ensuring strong governance, controls, processes and procedures are in place. As the IFRS 9 production process has largely been outsourced to centralised finance and risk functions, a key responsibility is managing the relationship between the team and our suppliers, managing issues as they arise and ensuring timely and accurate receipt of ECLs for review. Ensure that detailed information packs are produced for presentation at the relevant committees responsible for their approval. Review and approve the IFRS 9 disclosures in the statutory accounts. Extract, analyse and interpret information sourced from data warehouse tables to populate key reports and provide detailed explanations on monthly ECL movements. Proactively look at emerging trends / changes in legislation and assessing the impact of these on reporting requirements. Represent the department on various projects that will impact on our reporting requirements ensuring our needs are being met, with no adverse impact on our ability to meet existing reporting requirements. Manage & motivate a team of professional individuals within the Finance team, driving business performance through the creation of a high performance culture. Actively seek out opportunities to deliver efficiencies in the production and review of our reporting requirements.
