The Role We are recruiting for a committed Management Accountant who is looking to progress to the next stage in their career, at our office in the heart of Brentwood, Essex. This is a unique opportunity for a talented Finance professional to join a dynamic team. The ideal Management Accountant will be able to work on numerous tasks simultaneously, as well as working autonomously. They would also be confident in delivering accurate and timely accounting information to senior stakeholders of the business as well as HMRC, NHS Framework MI reporting and external Auditors. Most importantly, we want an individual who brings a fresh approach to finance, whilst harnessing previous experiences efficiently. Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include, but not limited to: Weekly management operational reports Monthly Management Accounts Quarterly Intermediaries Reporting to the HMRC Lloyds Finance monthly reconciliation VAT Returns PAYE/NI Monthly reconciliation and payment request Pensions Monthly Reconciliations and payment requests Other Balance Sheet Reconciliations Debtors Review for difficult/slow debt Creditors Review and suggested payments Bank Reconciliation Invoice Discounting management and reconciliation Pre-payments/Accruals - monitoring and processing Working with Credit Control and Payroll to ensure that financial accounting records are correct, overseeing any amendments Working with the Head of Accounts to ensure deadlines are adhered to across the Accounting/Credit Control/Ledgers and External Payroll Produce Management Information, manipulating large spreadsheets to provide info i.e., Pivot tables and formulae Managing tasks within a team Key skills: 3 year experience working in a financial accounting position ACCA or CIMA qualified Excellent level of excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Macros Payroll Experience Sage Accounts and Payroll experience Knowledge of recruitment industry and advantage Knowledge of Invoice Discounting an advantage Communicate confidently at all levels, internally and Externally Well organised and can work accurately to tight deadlines Excellent attention to detail Customer service focused Solution focused Able to work as part of a team, but also on own initiative Our perks include: Day-off for your birthday Bring your dog to work days Shopping discounts Health-care discounts Social events for you and your family throughout the year This is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to take ownership of their role and take the next step in their financial career.
