Main responsibilities and duties; Reporting to the Head of European Client On-boarding Management and a constituent of the European Client On-boarding Management Team, this is a senior role in a team of approximately 14 client on-boarding specialists. The Client On-boarding Specialist is responsible for providing an exceptional end-to-end on-boarding experience to strategically important Institutional Clients of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. The Client On-boarding Specialist will be a client facing, product aligned specialist working across the integrated team of Client Account Managers, Distribution, Investment Specialists and the broader organization to articulate and drive complex onboarding solutions to our strategic clients. The role will involve significant local and global interaction across the asset management business, with the primary focus being the 'lifecycle management activities', from Prospecting, RFP, Client Meetings, Win/Lose, Onboarding, Governance and ongoing Management coupled with Strategy Change. Anticipating the client needs and facilitating cross functional working groups to solution and implement new operating model requirements. In addition the client on-boarding specialist will be required to; Be a senior decision maker, accountable for delivering the breadth and depth of JPMAM's operational capabilities to strategic clients The ability to influence change across different teams, locations and governance structures at a senior level in an effective and timely manner Solution and design the operational proposal, capturing critical components early in the client lifecycle, reconciling with either a real world infrastructure solution or an achievable future state solution, which is mutually beneficial to the client and JPMAM and its responsibilities as a fiduciary. Develop an understanding of the unique client requirements and project manage the end-to-end client experience cohesively, with the vision to achieve the current or a future state operating model which has sustainability and scalability. Be accountable for the continuity of the client relationship as it evolves and the client priorities and strategy changes over time, whether that be driven by the client or market/regulation. Become a subject matter expert for the respective region and client type covered. i.e. develop knowledge of local regulations, market constraints and client type specific issues Be of a collaborative nature and objective in their approach, with a solution/can do mind-set with the ability to counter approaches where necessary. Essential experience: Experience in the asset management industry with particular expertise in client servicing, which should include in person client meetings Credibility and proven ability to engage with senior managers across disciplines (portfolio management, distribution, Client Service and Operations) to discuss, solution and implement strategic operational models Expert understanding of the client lifecycle and ability to develop strong client relationships and an in-depth understanding of implementing lifecycle events Knowledge of investments including multi asset solutions, alternatives, fixed income, equity, real estate and private equity product offerings Exposure to Fund Accounting, Investment Accounting, Custody & Transfer Agency Essential Skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to articulate complex operating model solutions at a level appropriate and intelligible to the recipient Fluent in project management disciplines and an ability to instill structure, process, accountability, delivery and client focus Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and to manage complex assignments Strong risk and control mindset, that is detailed orientated Ability to understand business drivers in order to influence multiple stakeholders to deliver client solutions Essential Knowledge; Solution driven A broad understanding of the Pan European asset management competitor landscape and product range A broad understanding of securities and instruments, portfolio management techniques, investment processes, and investment management products Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree and CFA preferred All internal moves will normally take place on the same grade and same salary. Salaries are reviewed annually in February. Exceptions to the rule regarding transfer on current salary may include a move between geographic locations.
