A Top 75 Firm in Central London are seeking an experienced practice bookkeeper / management accountant to join their busy team. This role will allow you to work with SME businesses across a wide variety of sectors which include retail, fashion, restaurants, construction and art galleries. The split will be approximately 50% Management Accounts and 50% Bookkeeping so experience in both areas is key. Responsibilities of the Role:
• Bookkeeping for a varied client base including preparing, processing and recording bank transactions and processing purchase, sales and general ledger entries
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Preparation of bank and cash and all other balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting clients with general support and advice
• Preparation and online submission of quarterly VAT returns Requirements of the Role:
• At least 3 years' experience in a firm of accountants working in a bookkeeping / management accounts role
• Strong experience using Sage is essential, use of Xero and Quickbooks would also be a benefit
• Good VAT knowledge
