Our client is looking to appoint a part-time person to cover 3 days a week or equivalent hours over 5 days to undertake the following duties. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this person will be responsible for the overall preparation and processing of staff payrolls, both UK and overseas and upkeep of records for around 80 monthly paid staff. Assist the Management Accountant by performing reconciliations, journal entry, processing and recording of transactions, preparing reports, fielding communication and fact checking. Assist with keeping policies and procedures up to date and recognising and communicating areas of improvement. Payroll - Process the UK staff payroll (approx. 80 staff) and all related administration on a monthly basis, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the salary/benefit payments and compliance with the appropriate statutory laws and authorities. Update pension reconciliation and upload file for changes in UK employee/employer contributions and process upload to Royal London to ensure the accurate transfer of monthly pension contributions. Update Royal London with changes to UK staff such as new starters and leavers, running monthly assessments. Production of Management Information, assist the Management Accountant with month end and year-end processing Produce Balance Sheet reconciliations Assist with the production of management information to aid the Budget building process. Reconciliation of Bank Accounts, using appropriate software for main accounts, reconcile 3 main Nat West London accounts (GBP, Euro and USD), producing monthly reconciliation statements for review by Head of Finance. Management of Business Credit Cards and their reconciliation, maintenance and payment To apply you must have experience of processing Payroll and have familiarity with general accounting principles; Proven experience as a payroll clerk or payroll manager; Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and high confidentiality. it is essential to have working knowledge of payroll and taxes and proficiency with Excel spreadsheets. Knowledge of Sun Accounts and Vision (Q&A) reporting software. Treasury experience, Strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all members of the association Maintain up to date knowledge and continuous development in accounting field/payroll field. A generous salary is offered, and the role may begin as a temporary to permanent assignment. Paying between £15-17.5 per hour. Further benefits include pension and prorated holidays of 25 days when permanent.
