Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their Accounts Payable team The key responsibilities of the role are as follows
• To provide first line specialist support to team members within Accounts payable on policies and procedures
• To provide all month end management reporting including communication with the business
• Interpretation of team metrics and measures plus forward planning to resolve issues
• To ensure all processes and controls are updated and followed
• To provide specialist support and expert advice to customer base in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• To contribute to core business drivers through the Balanced Business Scorecard (BBSC) framework and operational performance mechanisms
• To contribute to the timely data capture of operational performance measurements in order to validate operational efficiency and effectiveness
• To support the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in order to enhance operational performance standards

• Highly numerate and literate, with strong analytical skills
• Proven track record within a P2P (Accounts Payable) function, with experience in providing expert advice on the application and interpretation of policy and process
• In-depth knowledge of Accounts Payable processes end-to-end
• Demonstration of strong customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels both written and verbally, including ability to influence and persuade others
• Strong organisational skills, with ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines
• Professional in approach and dedicated to high standards, with excellent attention to detail The right candidate will flexible, self-motivated team player, with ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision Proficient in the practical use of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Database), with proven ability in efficient research, analysis and modelling of data Please apply giving details of your most recent salary and if applicable any notice period that you are required to give with your current employer.
