The Opportunity We are transforming our approach to Finance in Plan International developing its impact, effectiveness and how it enables us to be a financially sustainable, commercially astute INGO, in an increasingly challenging economic and sector landscape. In the exciting and high-profile position as the Deployable Finance Business Partner, your role will be fundamental in enabling us to provide effective financial support and maximise our resources in achieving one of our key strategic goals for providing humanitarian assistance in crisis situations. As a key member of our finance community this role is key in building capacity across Plan, both within the finance communities and beyond. The Deployable Finance Business Partner will partner with colleagues in country and regional offices to provide broad and varied financial skills and capability in support of Plan's work in countries both during emergencies and where additional finance skills and capability are required. The Role You will be required to deploy (sometimes at short notice) to support Plan International's country offices respond to specific humanitarian crises or when additional financial skills are required. You will be required to travel up to 70% Between deployments you will lead in the development of finance in emergency standard operating procedures and tools and lead finance emergency preparedness plans globally, in regional hubs and in countries most at risk The Person The ideal candidate will be part or fully qualified as an accountant, with experience of Finance (accounting, reporting, grants finance, financial planning and analysis) preferably in an INGO or complex international environment. You will need a demonstrable understanding of the humanitarian sector and ways of working. Experienced in developing Standard Operating Procedures and guidance notes, you should have strong financial systems expertise, including multi-currency accounting packages, with knowledge of internal controls in financial management. Fluency in English and the ability to travel extensively to high risk areas will be imperative. Second language skills are desirable (French, Spanish & Arabic)

Flexible Location (Preferably Global Hub, Woking or where Plan International has a legal entity and you have the pre-existing right to live and work).
