Ginger Recruitment is working with an established Charity based in the centre of Bolton who are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their credible team. This Finance Manager role is suited to someone who is fully qualified and has experience in a Finance Manager position. The ideal Finance Manager will be: - CCAB qualified (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) - Minimum 3 years experience in a finance environment - Experience in the presentation of timely, accurate and engaging reports and presentations - An understanding of public sector contracts and funding streams, including the European Social Fund - Experience using including I-Trent, Xero, Office365 - Advanced Excel skills V-Lookups, Pivot Tables and a record of financial modelling - The ability to work under pressure, delivering to tight deadlines as part of a dynamic senior team - Commercial Acumen an ability to operate effectively and lead the development of effective commercial strategies - Excellent relationship building and people management - Extensive knowledge of accounting systems and implementation of these systems Duties and responsibilities of the Finance Manager: - Be responsible for all aspects of financial management including day to day accounts, reporting, reconciling and forecasting. - Provide information to out-sourced payroll and pension service provider. - Provide forecasts and updates to enable senior managers to use budget effectively. - Provide regular forecasts and reports on financial and key performance measures to senior managers and the board as required. - Be responsible for the timely submission of all VAT returns - Be responsible for ensuring all income due is claimed in a timely and accurate manner - Undertake regular reviews and analysis reporting to Board and senior management in order to enhance performance and identify new opportunities. - Review financial plans, budgets and project costs regularly to ensure margins are achieved, drive efficiencies, maintain competitiveness and identify opportunities. - Work closely with the Managing Director to develop growth strategies - Be responsible for providing, timely, accurate, competitive and insightful financial modelling of new business opportunities and scenarios to aid effective decision making - Undertaking competitor analysis and research to inform growth and commercial strategies - Develop and enhance financial management systems - Lead the statutory audit process working closely with the external auditors as required Ginger Recruitment is an independent North-West recruitment consultancy, based in Ribchester.
