We are currently seeking a self-motivated, quick and hardworking Bookkeeper to join our growing team. The successful applicant will have some of the below experience:
• AAT Qualified / Part Qualified or other relevant accountancy qualification
• At least 2 years paid or unpaid work experience in Bookkeeping;
• A working knowledge of Quickbooks or other relevant cloud based accounting systems;
• Excellent numeracy and financial awareness;
• Good general computer literacy with a good knowledge of the Windows environment and its applications, especially Word and Excel;
• Methodical approach and ability to maintain accurate and transparent data systems;
• An ability to work to deadlines;
• Good communication skills;
• Ability to work as part of a team;
• A willingness to learn new skills as systems and needs develop;
• Fluency in Portuguese (written and spoken);
• Ability to work quickly and accurately;
• Good concentration, honest, discreet and trustworthy. What you will be involved in:
• Working with Quickbooks software;
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns;
• Checking company bank statements;
• Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments;
• Producing monthly or quarterly management accounts;
• Keeping fully up-to-date with professional developments in the industry;
• Organizing customer records and completing effective and accurate bookkeeping duties;
• Checking company bank statements; The skills you will need:
• Fluent in Portuguese
• Previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice and the ability to undertake both simple and more complex bookkeeping tasks;
• Experience of working with any cloud based accounting software;
• The ability to prepare management accounts for companies and other entities and handle more complex accounting matters;
• The ability to understand documents and data and write clear letters and emails;
• The ideal candidate should be committed and organised, you should have great communication, analytical and team working skills with the ability to constantly exceed customer expectations.

• You are confident, smart, quick and self-disciplined. You will be able to prioritize and rearrange work well under pressure to tight deadlines;
