We have it all - technical challenges, process development, technology implementation and communication needs to name a few. This provides the opportunity to constantly challenge yourself, improve, and implement creative solutions to regulatory challenges.As an International Tax Manager you will be joining our dynamic global tax team. You will be an integral part of the tax team reporting to the International Tax Senior Manager in London who is responsible for Global Transfer Pricing and International tax. The International Tax Senior Manager reports to the VP of Tax based in Chicago, our US Headquarters. We partner closely with internal teams to identify and analyse the innovative activities and tax implications of our various business channels as the global e-commerce and mobile markets are continuously evolving. You will take on challenging projects that impact Groupon's worldwide effective tax rate and operations. Additionally you will working in matters ranging from tax planning and compliance, transfer pricing and tax audits. We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?You'll spend time on the following:You will participate in and manage development of Groupon's overall tax strategy, short term and long-term goals, drive tax research and planning effortsSupport the International Senior Manager across a wider range of advisory projects such as Hybrids, DPT, CFC, MDR reporting but in the UK and globally.Assist with overseas tax authority enquires and audits.Monitor changes to tax legislation for international tax and transfer pricing in EMEA and APAC and consider how this may impact the groupLiaise with the business directly and assess the tax implications and potential impacts of any new offerings or business line changes.Manage the outsourced global compliance engagement for transfer pricing.Oversee the outsourced UK and Irish corporate tax compliance relationship and take full ownership in reviewing tax provision, tax return and managing tax payment requirementsPrepare and analyse the impact of UK and Irish specific legislation e.g. interest expense restriction, UK loss relief restrictionsWillingness to travel Internationally as neededWe're excited about you if you have:5 years' years of progressive experience with international tax matters for publicly traded multinational companies with significant foreign operations or equivalent experience at Big Four accounting firmsACCA/ACA or CTA qualifiedStrong tax technical abilityA good understanding of transfer pricingKnowledge of US GAAP and IFRS preferredCan adapt quickly and work in a fast paced and constantly changing environmentAn ability to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks with minimal supervisionStrong people skills with the ability to build networks and relationships both across tax with other key stakeholdersFocus on delivery with high personal standards and strong attention to detailProactive and innovative individual who challenges the status quoExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGroupon's purpose is to build strong communities through thriving small businesses.
