This Mid-Sized hotel based in Milton Keynes are looking for an experienced credit controller with a good understanding of the hotel industry. The role will be based on site, taking direction from the onsite Finance Manager and reporting to hotel GM/Finance Manager/Group FC with progress on a regular basis. The role offers a satisfactory completion bonus of 10% or 15% if finished month early. The Role: There are currently around 50 customers with combined aged debt of 120 day, totalling approximately £70k-90k. There will be errors in the system as the previous administration did not keep the ledgers up to date and the linking of accounts/travel agents and mismatched billing has taken place, along with duplication. The aim of the role is to entirely clear the duplications, allocate the payments where appropriate, recover any cash owed & ensure, with the assistance of the Finance manager, that these mistakes are not continued. The individual will take full responsibility for: All aged debt relating to the takeover of a company in April The reconciliation and allocation of all ledgers on Reslynx Communications with customers & management of emails/phone calls in a timely fashion in relation to the aged debt Keeping the finance manager abreast of all communications There will be some scope for development of systems with the current team to cover basic tasks and ensure communication billing statements & allocations are integrated into a flawless credit control process. This will integrate onto the new system and will be managed and overseen by the finance manager & GM. Requirements: Previous credit control experience Highly desirable would be anyone with a finance/managerial background working within the hotel industry Proven record of being able to hit the ground running, picking up where the previous work has been left This is a standalone position and the person will be required to be flexible in their approach to working
