Audit and Accounts Senior AJ Chambers are working with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants based in Guildford, who are looking for an Audit and Accounts Senior. The firm are looking for an ambitious ACCA/ACA qualified accountant or finalist to join their team and take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounts and audits are completed to an exceptional level, within deadline and budget. The split between audit and accounts is anticipated to be around 70/30, so you will need to have previous practice experience and exposure to accounts and audit Key Responsibilities of an Accounts & Audit Senior: Statutory and management accounts preparation Managing juniors and ensuring their development Ability to complete full set of accounts to completion Discussing and resolving accounts queries with clients Ability to ensure that all statutory requirements are complied with, and up to date technical knowledge. Ability to ensure that client deadlines are met and to budget Preparation of client accounts including audit and non-audit clients Preparation of tax computations for both income tax and corporation tax based on accounts prepared Supervising the audit process on site, supporting and developing more junior members of staff Essential Skills and Experience for this Accounts & Audit Senior role: ACA/ACCA Qualified or Finalist Previous experience in an accounts and audit role Well-rounded knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments within tight deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills Please note that candidates without practice experience will not be considered for this role.
