INTRODUCTION TO D&G D&G Group is the market-leading delivery partner in the charitable giving sector. Founded in 2010 with the clear objective of supporting corporate companies and charities to maximise fundraising revenues. We currently support over 140 events a year working with the likes of big consumer brands, such as ASOS and House of Fraser, to small and large Charities, to schools and Universities to Sports Clubs and so on. We pride ourselves in our ability to maximise the funds raised at the events and our service that goes with it. There are 5 parts to the business and these include: Partners: Organises events, typically Gala Dinners or Golf Days, for large Brands (e.g. ASOS, Man City and Rolls Royce) and focus on optimising advertising, sponsorship and fundraising. Fundraising: Supports c.100 charities with their silent and live auctions using either pen and paper brochures or technology. Sources and procures auction items. Production: Assists with the Event Production needs of our clients' events as well as Lifestyle: Provides an ongoing service to past customers to fulfil their lifestyle needs be it holidays, experiences, sporting tickets etc etc. Recruitment: We work with numerous clients supporting them with their recruitment but with a twist. We give an agreed percentage of each fee to the charity of the clients choosing, in the clients name At a high level, the business turned over £7m in 2018 and has a team of 30 based across 3 offices - London, Stoke and Shepperton (HQ). WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR A get up and go attitude Organised, accountable and diligent as well as: excellent mathematical skills; understanding of data privacy standards; integrity; honesty; Customer-service skills; solid communication skills, both written and verbal; Familiarity with business principles and practices; superior attention to detail; organisational skills; planning skills; problem-solving skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills; computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets and calculation software (Sage Live). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE AP: Receipt of all invoices payable Recording all AP invoices on Sage Producing a list of invoices due for payment every week Collecting all required info to gain sign off Making payments up to approved limit Liaising with suppliers and charities regarding outstanding creditors Producing and sending Credit NotesEvent Reconciliation: Producing Event 'invoices' and ensuring all VAT is correctly calculated Ensuring charities are paid in a timely fashion Notifying FM when an event can be closed / if there are any issuesAd- Hoc Accounting: Assisting FM with Month End close Assist FM with quarterly VAT returns Assist FM with review of spending levels and assess possible savings Assisting with month end journals, especially Accruals and Prepayments
