My client is looking to bolster their Finance Team with a proven Assistant Accountant, who can add a new dynamic to their current team of 5. They are looking to make the successful applicant a figure head within the team for years to come as they continue to grow.

Description

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:

• Assist Management Accountants to produce the monthly management accounts within the agreed timescales
• Maintain all fixed asset registers, including asset finance schedules
• Reconcile all stock control accounts, including stock takes as required
• Prepare daily and monthly cashflows
• Process any extra transactions on an ad hoc basis
• Support the Purchase Ledger team including processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements and processing payment runs
• Provide support to the Sales Ledger function including producing invoices/credit notes
• Provide support to the Credit Control function as required
• Work across nominal ledgers
• Any ad-hoc work as required in the Finance department

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant:

• ACCA / CIMA studier and AAT Qualified
• Based local to Hatfield
• Strong Excel skills
• Used to working in a busy environment
• Strong team player
• Articulate and confident character
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
