We are looking for a Group Finance Officer (Purchase Ledger) to join our NBS family at our Head Office in Nottingham. The role will suit someone from a Finance background with strong attention to detail and strong communication skills. The suitable applicant for this role will be ensuring that there are timely and accurate payments to suppliers and employees, they'll exercise financial control procedures and update the accounting systems in preparation of the various ledgers including purchase & sales ledgers, cashbooks and nominal ledgers. Your Contribution: Maintain the Group's purchase ledger system; ensure all invoices are registered, appropriate authority to pay is obtained and this is done in line with supplier's terms Check and challenge employee expense payments to ensure they adhere to the current policy and procedures Reconcile the credit card statement monthly to receipts provided by cardholders Maintain the subsidiaries' sales ledger by processing invoices and payments received Specifically provide support and advice to internal customers with general enquiries Support the Finance Leaders / Managers with ad-hoc tasks based on the needs of the business Your Expertise: An understanding of purchase & sales ledger processes Ability to prioritise and work accurately and efficiently under pressure Good analytical skills and be confident handling complex numerical data Experience in an accounts / finance department in a purchase / sales ledger role
