Purchase Ledger Clerk, £24k plus benefits, Abingdon: A luxury brand based in Abingdon who is well known for quality and prestige products is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their successful team based on Milton Park. This role is available on a temporary to permanent basis and is the perfect opportunity for anyone that is looking for a business that can offer both short and long term prospects. Key

responsibilities:
Dealing with all aspects of the Purchase Ledger from receipt of invoice through to processing weekly payment runs correctly, accurately and in a timely manner Obtaining and reconciling complex supplier statements Investigating and resolving invoice queries both internally and externally Maintaining the company petty cash and employee expense functions Preparation and input of accruals, prepayments and other journals as required Liaising with other departments and managing expectations Assist other members of the finance team as necessary with reconciliation work To continuously review and improve work processes and the levels of service provided by maintaining and developing relationships to ensure smooth running of the processing function To support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks for the general financial management of the business as required About you: Ideally studying for the AAT qualification or similar Significant experience within an accounts department Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and especially Excel (intermediate) Methodical and organised in approaching varying workloads Questioning mindset with good problem solving ability Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work as part of a team under pressure and to strict deadlines Confident personality with strong attention to detail Flexible to be able to work extra hours during month end/period end if required This role will ideally suit a candidate who has experience of working within a similar organisation as a purchase ledger clerk where their focus is on controlling the purchase ledger function. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years' experience in a similar and demanding role. Additionally, you will be highly organised and able to work on your own initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also key as well as being motivated, confident and a good team player. You will be joining a progressive and ambitious team so it is also important that you can show this in your attitude towards work.
