Interim Project Accountant required Outskirts of Cardiff Immediate start on offer Salary of circa £45,000 per annum My client, a leading Public Sector organisation is seeking an interim Project Accountant for a short term contract (with a potential extension) to work on a large scale infrastructure project. Scope of the role to include: The purpose of the Project Accountant is to assist the project accounting function, controls and reporting To provide accurate and timely information, support and guidance to the Project. To develop a project accountant process for analysing and reporting project expenditure To analyse project expenditure to determine project outputs To develop system for capturing the project expenditure To compile documentation to validate the project expenditure To produce a report on the project expenditure To develop the presentation of the project expenditure To utilise project management techniques to deliver the assignment To plan the workload to deliver the assignment within the agreed timescales Qualities To communicate well at all levels with internal and external sources, has good numerical and verbal reasoning skills. Experience of Microsoft office, business accounting systems and reporting packages are essential. Experience of financial accounting system packages replacement would be desirable. To be self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads, getting it right first time and be able to work without direct supervision.
