Finance Business Partner Hatfield, Hertfordshire £60,000 - £70,000 benefits A great opportunity has become available with a leading online retail technology client based in Hatfield for a financially strong Finance Business Partner to join their team to support a key new external partnership. The successful candidate will be a Qualified accountant with 3 years PQE and strong academic background, and will also be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to identify/suggest solutions to issues wherever necessary. Experience of managing a team is also necessary, with direct reports across the financial analysis team. Job purpose As a senior member of the UK Finance Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the partnership, including regular reporting to senior figures both internally and externally in line with company procedures/deadlines and ensuring effective daily management of essential financial tasks. The key relationships of this role will be the Financial Director, CFO, Operations Directors and Head of Operational Finance. Key responsibilities Business partnering the retail finance teams - both internal and external - by providing, reviewing and analysing accounts (Revenue, Costs and CAPEX) Offering regular financial insight by building important professional relationships across all seniority levels Supporting senior figures with their decision-making processes by providing detailed financial analysis Identifying and making recommendations on trends to facilitate accurate projections for the full year, and becoming the trusted 'go to' person for senior figures Take the lead on the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes Ensure and improve the financial processes and controls to maintain absolute accuracy of reporting Identify and implement improvements where necessary in order to increase efficiency across the business Review and challenge results regularly in order to seek strategic opportunities Manage a financial analyst on a day-to-day basis, ensuring they maintain a high level of performance Knowledge & experience Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CIMA) with 3 years PQE Strong overall academic record Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail when required, but also the ability to step back and look at things from a wider perspective if necessary Thorough and current knowledge of financial and management accounting practices Excellent people management skills and the ability to build relationships Experience of reporting, budgeting and forecasting Exposure to practical application of accountancy practices in a business environment Advanced Excel skills AGY - Vitae Financial Recruitment We Exist To Be Different - Membership NOT Registration
