An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Managing Director to lead our growing Newable Capital business. Newable Capital provides equity and debt funding (of up to £10m in each company) to enable retiring SME owners to exit their business by selling to Newable Capital and existing or new management teams who have identified growth opportunities for the business. https://newable.co.uk/money/funding-for-buy-outs/ As the new MD, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, pursuing and, where appropriate, completing potential acquisition opportunities to fulfil Newable's ambition to grow a significant and increasingly valuable portfolio of businesses. Working autonomously, you will report to the Newable Group CEO and be responsible for: Developing and executing a Strategic Business Plan for Newable Capital Identifying and evaluating potential acquisition opportunities for Newable Capital to grow a significant portfolio of companies Leading and managing the acquisition process Developing and maintaining strong investment operating controls and systems for the portfolio Identifying and developing exit opportunities when appropriate Building, leading and managing a small team Generating funding sources and building relationships Working in partnership with the wider Leadership Team to identify new potential opportunities for the wider Newable Group To be successful, you will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent, a qualified accountant (ACA) and have significant post-qualification experience as well as knowledge and experience in the following areas: Extensive Buy-side and Sell-side transaction experience Experience of structuring M&A, Private Equity and Leveraged transactions in the SME sector History of working closely with Management Teams to prepare businesses for robust due diligence processes, including assistance with the modelling and preparation of financial projections for both Buy-side and Sell-side transactions Good understanding of working in a regulated environment Experience of leading, coaching, developing and training successful teams Proven ability at generating transaction opportunities Breadth of personal relationships and an established network of relevant contacts Strong commercial and financial acumen Ability to confidently communicate at a senior level Collaborative team player Empathetic leadership skills and strong developer of talent Ability to recognise business opportunities across the wider team and Group Newable is committed to equal opportunities for all, irrespective of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or any other protected grounds.
