I am recruiting for a Credit Controller in Cardiff for a client who is a well established company and growing. The main purpose of the role is to Working as part of a team providing a comprehensive, accurate and timely accounting service. As a credit controller, you will be responsible to the Credit Control Manager and do the following - Work closely with the Credit Manager to meet cash collection targets set by the firm. Ensure an effective line of communication exists with the Credit Manager to discuss any problem areas with the ledger; and the effect this may have on the cash collection target. Inform the Credit Manager of any disputed debts as they arise and agree an action plan to resolve. Ensure effective escalation of problem accounts in line with the companies Credit Policy. Monitor the timely submission of invoices and discuss any trends with the Credit Manager. Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter ensuring that a professional within agreed timescales. Regular contact with internal stakeholders including partners, lawyers and other colleagues is required. The communication will need to demonstrate tact, professionalism and integrity whether it be verbal or written communication. A record of all communications relating to the recovery of the invoice whether internal or external should be recorded on the credit control database in use at that time. Maintain accurate records of all chasing activities. Check and send monthly statements. Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal queries. Prepare ad hoc reports and reconciliations as required. Attend internal meetings to discuss debt with the legal teams, as agreed with the Credit Manager They will provide training so if you have done collections and used to working the phone with excellent communication skills in a professional environment. In order to be successful, you will need to show the following skills as a Credit Controller Confident, professional and assertive manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent attention to detail/accuracy levels Strong organisational and administration skills Honesty and trustworthiness Ability to work accurately under pressure Strong computer skills (preferably Microsoft packages specifically Excel) Evidence of working on own initiative 1-2 years min experience This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional environment with generous rates of pay and benefits If you are interested please get in touch ASAP as this is an urgent need
