Job Description The Senior Accountant will provide accurate and timely financial and statistical information to Senior Management, HCA Head Office and Investors. The role is responsible for assisting in the preparation of business cases for new business ventures and to carry out adhoc project work and to assist the Physician Services Financial Controller and be the primary finance contact, in their absence, for the Physician Services Group. This is a full time and permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary package dependent upon candidate experience. Duties & Responsibilities Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation and completion of financial reports, statistical information, surveys, projections, special projects and analyses of financial statements; this includes business cases for new business ventures and financial feasibility work for future potential ventures. Take ownership of the financial accounting of new business ventures. Assist in the financial elements for legal documentation associated with new business ventures. Prepare financials for investors to include; assisting in the preparation of financials for board meetings, responding to adhoc queries from investors on a timely basis and presenting and explaining financial figures to potential and current investors. To be deputy to the Financial Controller and therefore the primary contact for the Physician Services Group finances when the Financial Controller is absent. Skills & Experience Commercial experience in a management accounting role in a similar organisation, or audit role. Audit experience, desirable. Detailed knowledge of groups accounting/finance systems (knowledge of Meditech would be beneficial), desirable. At least 3 years' post qualified experience. Chartered Accountant; preferably ACA or ACCA. Computer literate including an excellent knowledge of Excel (macros, pivot tables).
