We are a growing public accounting business in South East London looking for a new team member. The ideal candidate is an EXPERIENCED Bookkeeper with knowledge of many different trades and industries. They have a solid understanding of taxation in the UK. They are a "Skilled" bookkeeper... qualifications are not needed. They know and understand the principles of bookkeeping and can execute those principles without the aid of software. They have a strong working knowledge of EXCEL with an intermediate skill level. They are open to increasing their own skills and knowledge. They can work within tight deadlines. They can work within a team, being an active participant in improving the overall function of business. The responsibilities of the job would entail:
• Data Entry from Documents to Excel
• Manipulating Electronic records (csv) to Excel
• Reconciling Purchase and Income Ledgers
• Journaling Account Adjustments
• VAT Reporting
• CIS Reporting
• Payroll Reporting
• Meet deadlines
• Communicating with Clients
• General Administration tasks The position will start as a part-time 21 hour/3 day a week and flex up to full-time 40 hour per week during busy times. We are looking for a minimum of 7 hour days; 3 days per week, Tuesday to Thursday. We boast a casual atmosphere that is flexible with our staff and their family needs. However, during busy periods of the year, the job will require being able to flex and work extra hours. We require a minimum 2 years direct experience in bookkeeping and taxation. Living locally in South East London - Lambeth, Southwark areas - is ideal. We are NOT looking for an Accountant.
