Our client is an employer of choice in the local area and they currently have an urgent requirement for someone to join their team in an Accounts Assistant capacity. Starting immediately the role will focus primarily on purchase ledger but you will also get involved in other aspects of accounts. Processing supplier invoices into system and ensuring matched with purchase orders Resolving queries quickly and efficiently Working to specific business targets and deadlines Organise payment runs on a regular basis Investigate and resolve reconciling amounts on supplier statements Dealing with supplier queries Ad-hoc tasks as required Experience of purchase ledger and the processes that go in to this aspect of finance is required as are good IT skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced team. Strong communication skills are essential as is a good understanding of Excel and experience working with accounting systems. Whilst initially a temporary role, there is a strong chance there could be a much longer term available to the successful candidate if both parties are happy.
