Robertson Bell are recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant for a busy and growing Public Sector organisation in the Cardiff area. This is an exciting time to join this organisation as they embark on an organisation wide transformation programme. This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend further. Working closely with the senior finance management team you will support the management and delivery of the day-to-day financial accounting functions and ensure compliance with up to date accounting standards and best practice. The key interim responsibilities are to: Deliver accurate monthly management information within agreed monthly schedule Provide key financial reports for Senior Management Team Record financial data in line with regulatory requirements Prepare and file monthly and quarterly statutory statements Manage the refining and improvement of the organisations accounting and controls manual Assess and support the redesign of the annual accounts process Interpret and implement new accounting standards across the organisation Assist the development and adoption of automated processes The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (with a preference for ACA OR ACCA) with experience of financial accounting within a public sector organisation.
