Our client is a very successful and well established theatre, TV and film production business. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their small finance team in the role of Contra Accountant, focusing on costs and revenue analysis for the group and it's activities. Analysis of the contra information received from theatres: Revenue analysis - Box office remitted is in accordance with the contract Cost analysis - the staffing, marketing and other recharges are in accordance with the contract Highlight any costs running over budget in order that action can be taken Identify efficiencies and propose changes to operational procedures Develop relationships with the individual theatres in order to resolve any queries that arise Work closely with the Production department to ascertain the relevant information Develop relationships with Company managers in order that they provide the information required Raise the relevant invoices for revenues and costs associated with the theatre contras Resolve any theatre debtor issues Build upon and develop the existing systems Weekly Accounts: Provide the production cost analysis required for the weekly accounts covering production fees, hires, haulage, travel, etc Calculate the expected contra recharge from each theatre for each show, based on the budget and known costs Check any discrepancies between running costs and budget Liaise with the theatres and company managers to ascertain the weekly monies receivable from the theatres This is an excellent opportunity to join a passionate and hardworking team in a commercial Accountant role In addition to strong accounting skills, the ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Analytical Commercial Thorough and tenacious Problem solver Initiative Flexible Excellent people skills, including developing relationships Team player The working hours are 9am-6pm with a requirement to work from 10am-7pm on a rota basis.
