Treasury Capital Accountant Permanent - Full time, flexible working. Salary - Circa £38,185 We're looking for a highly motivated qualified Treasury Capital Accountant to join our fantastic Finance team based at our head office in Baglan, situated in-between J41 & 42 of the M4 with free onsite parking. You will take ownership of planning and reporting of treasury activities, investment appraisal and development of long term business plan to aid decision making and to ensure effective compliance and best practice. As part of Tai Tarian, you will enjoy: Flexi scheme A friendly work environment Generous stakeholder pension scheme (rising to 8% contributions) 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) Employee retail discount scheme A 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: Preparation of long term business plans, as well as stress testing against defined scenarios Manage long and mid-term cash flow forecasting, as well as transfers between savings and current accounts to maximise interest receivable, whilst ensuring sufficient funds for day to day activities Review capital investment appraisals on an NPV basis to the agreed assumptions Prepare quarterly reports for Development, Acquisition and Disposal Committee, where necessary, and reconciling figures to management accounts Carry out month end journals and analyse any variances or other ad-hoc financial data Manage relationships with Funders including scheduling timely drawdown and repayment of loans as well as ensuring timely processing of interest payments and fees. Prepare returns for Funders and Welsh Government including covenants calculation, cash flow and Private Finance Returns Support other areas of the organisation with financial understanding and assisting with monitoring of expenditure on high value investments Prepare year end and budgetary information including loan interest, loans repayment schedule and amortisation of grant and loan fees Managing loan securities, including reporting of stock movements and ensuring valuations are completed in a timely manner Engage with various areas of the organisation on the affordability and Value For Money (VFM) of any current or proposed changes organisational activities Contribute towards continuous improvement as well as various projects ongoing within the finance function To be considered for the Treasury Capital Accountant role you will need the following: Qualified Accountant (Minimum CCAB Qualified) Experience of long / short term cash flow forecasting and business planning Clear understanding of financial concepts regarding capitalisation, depreciation and amortisation Experience of appraising investments Experience of Finance Business Partnering Knowledge of accounting standards including component counting Experience of communicating with lenders Excellent IT skills (including Advanced Excel) Strong understanding of NPV modelling to assess capital investment The following would be desirable of the ideal candidate: Knowledge of working in the housing sector Experience of using business planning software such as Brixx or other Experience of working in a highly regulated environment Experience of leadership and managing people As part of this role you will have the opportunity to help make our vision happen; providing financial solutions for growth and key financial success of Tai Tarian.
