Payroll Finance Business Partner
TED's guide to what Ted's Payroll Finance Business Partner does around here Based within the finance division of the business as part of Ted's payroll team, working closely with both Payroll and Management Accounts teams to ensure the accurate and timely production of the period accounts and to lead the payroll team through all statutory audits. Main Responsibilities Main point of contact between Payroll and the wider finance team Managing all Payroll journals for all entities across UK & Europe Maintenance of key payroll reconciliations and control accounts Ensure payment of PAYE/NIC and other payroll related obligations Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports Audit lead for both mid year and year end audits for all entities Responsible for all payroll related invoices & PO's Supporting the team with payroll tasks as and when required Tools of the Trade Proven experience working on international and complex payroll systems Experience of PAYE/HMRC regulations and requirements. Payroll qualification/Finance Qualification is desirable Excel Word - Advanced Level ADP Freedom & Core HR knowledge beneficial Personal Traits Excellent organisational and administrative skills Excellent communication skills Excellent attention to detail and be able to multi-task effectively Able to priorities efficiently and work to deadlines Excellent problem-solving skills The ability to maintain good working relationships is essential The job in more detail.... Payroll Period Reporting: Prepare costing reports including Head Counts and FTE reports from various payroll systems/providers and import in to Ted's finance system on a periodic basis for UK and European payrolls (a total of 4 UK payrolls and 8 European) Carry out the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts including the preparation of the period balance sheets across all entities Complete required investigation work into any Balance Sheet queries/differences working alongside the Payroll and Management Account team to rectify these Responsible for all GL postings including any required corrections, journals for ad-hoc payments and support on accruals when required, maintaining all information on the journal tracker Partnering with the management account teams for UK & Europe to provide any analysis of payroll related costs to support the period accounts team as required. Audit: Act as the payroll lead on audit processes across all entities Supporting with statutory accounts requirements Liaise with external and internal auditors, providing information as and when required Support tax authority audits working with external tax advisers where necessary Payment Management: Processing any manual payments using Ted's banking system, ensuring that payments such as PAYE, Pension, PSA & P11D are raised when required Raising all Payroll related invoices in Ted's finance system
