PURCHASE LEDGER ASSISTANT - LONDON (WEMBLEY) - FULL TIME - COMPETITIVE BASIC EXCELLENT BENEFITS Our client is regarded as one of the most recognisable and trusted decorating and DIY retail brands in Central London selling paint, tools, ironmongery and accessories throughout its 21 stores (and growing) in Central London. Our client has a network of 21 convenience-led and predominantly high street stores which are situated in some of London's most prominent locations including King's Road Chelsea, High Street Kensington, Shaftesbury Avenue, Victoria, Clerkenwell, and Notting Hill. Due to their continued success and expansion they now require an experienced and highly motivated Purchase Ledger Assistant to work from the London, Wembley office. The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager and working as part of a busy Purchase Ledger team you'll be involved in all aspects of the Accounts Payable function which will include checking processing and inputting high volumes of invoices daily, reconciling accounts, dealing with queries and making payments. Setting up new supplier accounts in the accounting system and maintaining accurate supplier master data. Processing supplier invoices relating to supply of goods (stock & nonstock invoices), matching them to the relevant purchase orders and goods received notes in the system. Raising and resolving invoice queries by liaising with suppliers, procurement team and other functions within the organisation. Processing supplier payments through BACS, cheques and other methods, and providing adequate supporting documentation to the bank signatories. Reconciling supplier balances on a regular basis and clearing reconciling items. Reviewing aged supplier balances and identifying outstanding debts. Making supplier payments in a timely and accurate manner. Reviewing goods received not invoiced (GRNI) and goods returned not credited (GRNC). You will be working from the Wembley, London office The Person The successful Purchase Ledger Assistant will have previous experience in a purchase ledger environment Experience of dealing with large volumes Ability to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities Working knowledge of Accounting systems (our client use Microsoft AX Dynamics), MS Word / Excel Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills Ability to work alone and as part of a team Live within a commutable distance to Wembley, London What benefits do you get?
