London The opportunity:This role is to join the Zurich Commercial insurance pricing team and will be based in London. The role reports to the Head of Commercial P&C Pricing. The role will largely be concerned with:Portfolio Management - as part of the wider Commercial P&C pricing team, lead and develop portfolio management and strategy across the London-based portfolio, including but not exclusive to:Monthly analysis of portfolios Reinsurance strategyWorking closely with the underwriting teamsBusiness planningAd-hoc deep dives/portfolio analysesCase Pricing - take an active role in case pricing of our larger clients and schemes. This is across all lines of business and will involve large account pricing, internal customer/broker/client relationship management and contributing the development of new business and renewal propositions. There will also be responsibility for reviewing junior actuaries' work and development and improvement of tools and processes.Rating tool Development - play a major role in development and simplification of the Zurich rating tool landscape. This will be across local and global tools and will therefore involve working with global colleagues. Develop and maintain rating structures that allow accurate and flexible pricing for our underwriters. Management - The role will include management of at least one direct reportThis role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren't available full-time.Your skills and experience:Nearly/Just qualified with London Market experienceExperience of large account pricing desirableExcellent communication and people skills with a track record of dealing with senior internal stakeholders and external customersExperience of at least one of Property, Casualty and Motor lines of business required, with more than one desirableExcellent IT skills - R/Python/VBA coding experience desirableThe reward: As well as a competitive salary, we offer an excellent lifestyle benefits package which includes -
