Group Financial Accountant, interim contract job in Darlington

This UK wide employer is has a new for an experienced Financial Accountant to join them at Group Financial Accountant level for a period of 12 months.

Your new role

The role will involve:

• Management accountant commentary preparation.
• Aiding Managing Directors and Department heads in understanding their financial results and how they can improve performance.
• Providing a detailed review of central costs and home running costs to maintain the accuracy of the management accounts.
• Management and training of Assistant Accountants.
• Reviewing nominal codes and processing journals required to ensure the accuracy of the accounting process including, but not limited to accruals and prepayments.
• Balance sheet reconciliations - production, review and follow up of any queries to maintain accurate financial position.
• Production of statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 and liaise with external auditors
• Improving and streamlining processes and procedures.
• Providing senior stakeholders with ad hoc analysis supporting decision making.
• Researching and analysing financial reporting legislation on a frequent basis.
• Helping the Group to understand and implement any changing legislation.
• Providing ongoing financial support to the CFO, CEO, COO and Group Financial Controller.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA you will have a proven track record in producing Statutory Accounts and will be available to start a 12 month fixed term contract at very short notice.


What you'll get in return
