Transport and rail business in the Milton Keynes looking for an experienced Accounts Payable manager to join the team. The role will be responsible for a large team across a number of UK and European entities, with an additional focus on P2P implementation.

Description

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage efficient processing of high volumes of supplier invoices and payments in different currencies
  • Close management of the P2P functions
  • Timely and accurate processing of all domestic and international supplier payments and employee expenses
  • Lead, mentor and supervise a small team
  • Play a pivotal role in supervising OCR implementation across the AP function
  • Act as main point of contact for all escalated queries, resolve issues promptly and with professionalism
  • Identify and embed improvement to month end processes, creating and sharing KPIs to report on accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure the AP ledger is tidy at all times and proactively investigate outstanding items
  • Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of the AP ledger
  • Ensure all supplier accounts are reconciled quarterly
  • Develop, implement and maintain appropriate controls over AP function
  • Implement best practices within the department

Profile

Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience managing an AP function in a multi-currency environment
  • A desire to provide excellent client service to our internal teams
  • Ability to manage team (including their development)
  • Experience within high invoice/supplier volume business
  • Strong numeracy skills and a logical approach to financial tasks
  • Good at managing heavy workloads
  • Able to think independently and make change
