A Financial Accountant role with one of the largest energy providers in the UK, based in their London office. This is a blend of accounting and advisory with excellent progression pathways. £55K + Bonus + 13.2% Pension.

The Client

Our client is one of the largest Energy/Renewables businesses in the world. With a huge global presence and continuing to post growth our client is front-runner in their field who as a progressive business is also one of the leading providers of renewable energy within the UK and Europe.

They are looking to bring in a Financial Accountant into their London office. Sitting within a direct team of 5, all of whom are ACA trained individuals, but business partnering with local finance teams also this will be a really broad role with great exposure across a leading energy/renewables firm.

Description

The Role

Reporting into the Technical Accounting Manager this Financial Accountant role will be varied role but with the following key responsibilities:

  • Reporting - plan and manage the statutory accounts process (>20 entities)
  • Advisory/Business Partnering - provide support on accounting queries, partnering with local finance team to deliver accounting advisory. Delivery of group transition to new IFRS accounting standards.
  • Mentoring - provide support and direction to juniors in the team. Whilst not direct line management you will provide day-to-day direction for at least 1 junior
  • Projects - support on ad hoc projects alongside the CFO, Head of Accounting or Technical Accounting Manager where required

  • ACA Qualified
  • Big Company or large group structure exposure highly desirable
  • Exposure to IFRS 16
  • Strong interpersonal skills and senior stakeholder interaction (in support of business partnering responsibilities)
  • Able to commute to Central London
