Job Details

You will be the primary contact as an Assistant Tax Manager within the Privately owned Business Team.

Within this role you will deliver exceptional service to clients ensuring the tailored needs of clients are met, review, delegate and train junior staff whilst reviewing complex US and UK tax reviews.

Description

As a Tax Assistant Manager - Private Client Team, your responsibilities include:

  • Very well organised, work well under pressure and have a great key for detail
  • Provide Tax advice to clients and support and mentor staff
  • Developing existing relationships, sourcing new leads and maintaining existing relationships
  • Follow up on queries as directed by senior staff
  • Plan and delegate work to other members of the team
  • Provide feedback regarding ongoing performance, policy improvements and training needs
  • Develop strong external contacts and internal contacts
  • Continuously stay up to date with the Privately owned Business space and Tax statutory requirements
  • Review complex US and UK tax compliance work for staff members
  • Involvement in research projects including Check the Box analysis, PFIC, CFC, Syb Part F and PFIC Analysis
  • Profile

    To be considered for this Tax Assistant Manager - Private Client Team role you will need to have:

  • 3+ years tax experience within a Practice
  • US/UK Tax exposure including reviewing and preparing US/UK forms i.e. Forms 5471, 8865, 8858 and 8621
  • ATT Qualified, with desirable qualification in Practice US Tax (EA or CPA) or possibly CTA Qualified (not essential)
  • Technically strong with a strong academic background
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail and management skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and strong taxation legislation knowledge
  • Strong understanding of both personal and corporate tax
  • Preferably some exposure to advisory and consultancy
  • Ability to build on existing client relationships and identify new client opportunities
