The Accounts Assistant role will be reporting directly to the Finance Director to provide a range of finance support to assist in covering the functions of sales ledger, purchase ledger, and cash management. The role requires the need to be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively manage a varied workload, whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail. You will have exposure to: Reconciliations of various nominal accounts, submitting weekly profit & cash flow forecasts; Bank reconciliations; Reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts; Preparation of the monthly management accounts and supporting schedules; VAT returns; Assisting the purchase ledger department and processing of invoices; Assisting in the processing of sales ledger receipts and maintenance of customer and supplier ledgers; Accruals and prepayments along with posting of journals; Dealing with general enquiries from customers; General administration duties within the finance department; The ideal candidate will: Part or fully qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE; Have previous experience working in a busy accounts environment; Maths and English GCSE level C or above or equivalent grade; Highly proficient in the use of MS Office especially Word and Excel; A self-starter who can manage multiple tasks; Self-confident to be able to communicate across all levels of the business and with external parties;
