Salary:
£18,500 per annum plus flexible benefits package Role Overview SSCL require a Finance Assistant to join our SSCL Police sector. The role in in the Record to Report (R2R) Team will have the responsibility for delivering key activities and processes to ensure agreed Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators are achieved. The scope of the R2R team includes period end processing, budgeting and forecasting, control account reconciliations and master data management. Finance Assistant Key

Responsibilities:
To deliver a customer-focussed service to Police Clients; To receive, route and respond to Police Client Service Requests Ensuring work instructions and financial procedures are up to date; Manage and schedule own work to required timescales To fully participate in the SSCL performance appraisal process ; Support Team members to ensure your Team delivers the highest quality of service; Respond to, and resolve finance related queries from Police Clients, taking action as appropriate and identify any preventative measures and process improvements; Support SSCL Police colleagues across Finance Service Lines when required ; Run reports, extract and analyse data to ensure accuracy of data and transactional loading; To assist in the production of Performance Management Information; Undertaking transactional R2R activities such as general ledger journals, budgets and forecasts with accuracy and to time; Undertaking reconciliations of Bank and Control Accounts ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of financial information is upheld; Comply with regulatory accounting requirements where applicable; Finance Assistant Essential Skills Numerate and able to process complex data; Proficient Excel and Word skills; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Effective team player; Ability to work under pressure to deliver against deadlines Able to use initiative and exercise sound judgment; and Articulate and able to develop good working relationships with SSCL colleagues and Police Clients; Finance Assistant Desirable Skills AAT qualified or part qualified / qualified by experience; Experience of working with relevant Finance ERP systems e.g. Oracle Working with a high volume processing environment About the Company SSCL is a joint venture between the Cabinet Office and Sopra Steria who delivers a range of high quality shared services for our Government and Police clients, enabling them to operate more efficiently and more effectively.
