Headquartered in Central London and with a workforce of 300 in these HQ, they are well-positioned to continue in their position as a highly influential body and, in this instance, a fantastic employer for finance & accounting employees. Due to a recent restructure, they are now actively seeking a part-qualified Assistant Management Accountant, in a new role, within Commercial Finance - reporting into a Senior Finance Business Partner, on an initial 1 year Fixed Term Contract, with the possibility of going permanent. This role is essentially to provide reporting, management accounting and financial analysis support for the group of entities, which delivers reporting, strong cost management and financial processes within specific business areas. Core responsibilities include; Month end close; guided by the Finance Business Partner, provide key input into month end accounting and reporting process to ensure accurate and timely reporting, specifically; Accruals and month end journals Intercompany Journals Balance Sheet Reconciliations Cost Control - take a key role managing the purchase-to-pay process, ensuring costs are correctly coded and purchase order analysis is successfully completed, dealing with discrepancies and issues as they arise Budgeting and forecasting - possess the demonstrable ability to review reports with budget holders, provide analysis of specific cost lines and explain variances as and when required Business Partnering - provide a high quality service and support to each business area, responding to queries and changes within the organisation, including ad hoc financial analysis Finance Systems - develop a decent understanding of Netsuite, Adaptive - producing Adaptive reports and break down into costs Provide adhoc finance support as and when required Candidate Requirements; Either AAT fully qualified or ACCA / CIMA part-qualified, graduate calibre Proven and demonstrable management accounting experience, ideally with a mid or large-sized business, related to accruals, prepayments, intercompany journals and balance sheet reconciliations other duties atypical of an Assistant Management Accountant Experience of dealing with stakeholders - to assume this responsibility in this role for stakeholder management and take this aspect away from the Senior Finance Business Partner Commercial acumen to take a wider view of the finance function and business overall, with strong verbal and written grammatical skills Ability to work unsupervised with a good work ethic and able to hit the ground running Good Excel skills including V Look ups Be available ideally on a weeks' notice or immediately available Whilst this role is initially on a 1-year fixed term contract, there is a very real possibility the role could become permanent either during or after this period.
