Taylor Hawkes are currently recruiting on behalf of a Central London top 20 firm. The firms personal tax team are looking for a specialist tax professional with an interest in the media sector to work with their sports and entertainment clients. With this position, travel within the UK and internationally will be required.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be responsible for their own portfolio of high net worth private clients which will involve the day-to-day administration of the portfolio including all aspects of compliance, reviewing of the work of more junior staff and assisting with planning projects. Reporting will mainly be to the group's managers and senior managers. The range of work includes preparation and review of self-assessment returns, ATED/NRCGT returns, tax computations, CGT computations on the disposal of securities, chattels and property, assisting with planning and all related aspects of looking after the complex tax affairs of a variety of high net worth private clients. Specific experience of dealing with residence and domicile (including the remittance basis) is highly desirable as well as experience of trusts, partnerships and employment taxes. The role provides an excellent range of challenging work for someone with a solid tax background wishing to broaden their experience and advance their career. Candidate: The ideal candidate will be committed to a career in tax and will have relevant strong experience in a general practice role preferably in a Top 20 firm environment and currently operating in the capacity as a manager. Experience of organising the delivery of tax work, problem solving and the ability to use your own initiative is essential. The successful applicant will require confidence in dealing with partners and clients, excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide accurate work in a timely and cost-effective manner.
