I am currently managing an exciting opportunity for an assistant accountant to join the rapidly expanding operation of my client near Newport. Candidates should have experience handling payroll processing, account reconciliation, accounts payable, processing cheque requests and more. Working closely with the Finance Director, candidates will also provide administrative assistance that includes maintaining and improving finance systems, generating reports, ordering supplies, etc. We're looking for a candidate who has strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and experience with general office tasks whose duties are likely to range from helping to prepare financial statements and accounts, budgeting, managing ledgers, processing invoices and preparing VAT returns. The ideal applicant will be CIMA or ACCA part qualified, computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office and accounting packages, possess previous accounting experience, be dynamic and ambitious individual keen on personal as well as team development, have prior exposure to a fast paced working environment and be comfortable creating and maintaining key relationships internally and externally.
